We placed 660 flags (22 deaths a day x 30 days in a month=660) to remind people of the Veteran suicide issue. Scout Troop 88 provided most of the labor. The Mayor read a Proclamation.

The Post presented Certificates of Appreciation and presents to the Veterans at a local Assisted Living Facility..

The Post recognized the Veterans Church where almost 20% are Veterans or Active Duty. The Church also sponsors the Military Support Group.

The Marine Corps celebrated its 247th Birthday on Nov. 10th, so we had Daleville Mayor Jayme Stayton issue a Proclamation Honoring this!

AMVETS placed POW/MIA (Missing Man) tables at the Enterprise & Daleville City hall. And in partnership with the new American Legion Post in Ozark, set-up a table in the Ozark City Hall.

WoodmenLife Chapter 458 donated a dozen American flags to the Post along with money to cover the making of flagpoles. Branch flags are arriving soon, so we won't have to borrow them for Events.

Sept. 25, 2022 was Gold Star Mothers and Family Day at Beef O'Brady's in Enterprise where we Honored the families of five soldiers killed in the Line of Duty.

Sept. 23, 2022 was the Homecoming for Daleville High School. To let more people know about us, we had a float in the Parade with Uncle Sam and Betsy Ross riding it.

Sept. 16, 2022 was POW/MIA Recognition Day. "Missing Man Tables" were set up in the Enterprise and Daleville City Halls, D'ville Chamber of Commerce, and various businesses.

This year, we're not content with having just ONE Ceremony to Honor our First Responders, we are having TWO, and participating in a third one. Ya'll come to Culpepper Park in Daleville on Saturday Sept 10th at 9:00 am, then if you miss that one, go to the Elba Courthouse downtown at 2:00. If you miss those, we're in the Geneva Ceremony on Monday the 12th at 9:00 am.

13 people gave blood, we had two Special Guests from the AMVETS State Foundation, and had good conversations with the President of the D'ville VFW as well as members of the Public. GREAT START for the new Organization. STAY TUNED, we're just getting started!!
